Coronavirus (COVID19) Update
26th May 2021
Most UK Travel restrictions have now been lifted, and most shops and businesses have returned to work, but there are isolated areas where the new Indian variant is spreading.
If you travel an area where the new COVID-19 Indian variant is spreading
This new variant is sometimes referred to as the variant first identified in India. It is spreading fastest in:
The new COVID-19 variant spreads more easily from person to person. To help stop the spread, you should take particular caution when meeting anyone outside your household or support bubble.
In the areas listed above, wherever possible, you should try to:
-
meet outside rather than inside where possible
-
keep 2 metres apart from people that you don’t live with (unless you have formed a support bubble with them), this includes friends and family you don’t live with
-
minimise travel in and out of affected areas
You should also:
-
Get tested twice a week for free and isolate if you are positive
-
Continue to work from home if you can
-
Get vaccinated when you are offered it, and encourage others to do so as well
-
Refer to local health advice for your area (linked above)
You should get tested for COVID-19. This includes:
-
Arranging to have a PCR test if you have symptoms of COVID-19
-
Participating in surge testing in your local area
-
Getting regular rapid tests if you do not have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19)
-
Arranging a testing or managed quarantine package if you plan to travel to red or amber list countries. See further details
You should self-isolate immediately if you have symptoms or a positive test result for COVID-19.
Whilst we all try and adapt to what is becoming a new way of living and working, here at Ideliver we take this situation very seriously.

21st March 2020
In light of the threat and spread of the COVID-19 virus, we are unfortunately witnessing an unprecedented impact on the transport & logistics industry, which we are not immune to. During this time, we are actively reviewing and adapting the way we work to meet these new challenges on a day to day basis, as we continue to strive to offer the best possible customer service, a key focus is the sustainability of our operation to deliver for our customers.
On Friday 21st March 2020 we introduced some adjustments to our operations, all delivering drivers are well briefed on how to deal with the current unfortunate situation, all our drivers have been issued with hand sanitiser and latex-free gloves, along with government guidelines on how to react.
We aim to provide an efficient professional service, even in these demanding times, we respect our customers and their current worries and situation, but we also respect the well being of our drivers. If any collection or delivery point refuses a driver access to toilet and washroom facilities, the driver has been instructed to refuse the delivery or collection, any onboard load will be taken to our depot for onward delivery/collection.
